Matthew 1—13

The Gospel According to Matthew opens the New Testament by introducing Jesus Christ, the King who came to fulfill Old Testament promises and prophecies. In the first half of his study on Matthew, Sellers S. Crain, Jr. examines the events surrounding the birth of the King and His teachings about the coming kingdom. He shows how the people’s reactions to Jesus began to brew into a storm. The results are covered in the next course, Matthew 14—28.
